“You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.” (NKJV)
It is a new year, and it is going to be one of overflow, and abundance! Verses 9 & 10 in this psalm read as follows: You visit the earth and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide their grain, for so You have prepared it. You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows. You make it soft with showers. You bless its growth.” Verse 9 in the Passion Translation is: “Your visitations of glory bless the earth. The rivers of God overflow and enrich it.” I woke up one morning just before the end of the year, hearing the words “year of overflow”. I know this is the heart of God for all His precious sons and daughters, not just in terms of material blessing, but for every aspect of our lives. This attitude of lavish generosity is reflected in many parts of the Scriptures, as we see God promising to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20), or Jesus saying He came to give “Life more abundantly” (John 10:10).
Dear friends, this year stretches out before us like a divinely inspired adventure prepared especially for each one! We have so much power to experience God’s best for us, to dive into the riches of His grace, and know that this year is a gift from Him, to live to the fullest and to know another glorious side to His face! What you see and believe of Abba God, Jesus and Holy Spirit will be what you will see manifested as this year begins to take shape. It is going to be a year of divine visitations, and of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is a year for experiencing the rain of the Spirit, and feeling Him transforming hearts, softening and molding them towards the image of Jesus. God has decreed that there will be no lack; the River of God is full of water, so there will be nourishment, healing and lasting life wherever it flows (Revelations 22:2), and if we allow the Spirit to move where He wills, this River will flow, and overflow. It will strengthen, nourish, and enrich every part.
“My precious child, I am calling you higher. I am inviting you to begin to think big, really big, and to adopt a mindset of abundance in every part of your life. Know that I think only good and generous thoughts towards you. It is My heart’s desire to prosper you and fill every part of you with an abundance of hope and joy. It delights Me that you delight in living your life for Me. This year I want you to begin to dream big dreams with Me. The dreams I dream for you are always large and lovely, and filled with light. They are never out of your reach when you hold My hand and jump into them in faith, with Me. I am causing My River of Life to overflow and as you look, you will begin to behold it. This is a year of divine connections, and open doors. There will be a completion of things you began in the past, and 20/20 vision to see and receive. I have made the fullest provision for everything your heart seeks, and there will be no lack, but you must see it with your heart and believe. Shake off every place of limitation in your mind; take every hindering thought captive, and bring them all to Me. I am with you, I go before you, and you will see My power manifest in a whole new way. I have crowned this year with My goodness and My loving kindness, and I have made open your way. There is nothing impossible with Me; I am Yahweh!”
Dear friend, give Jesus your cup today and you will see that it never runs dry. He is going to fill it with the deepest joy, and an overflow of His presence that will fill your heart with praise! The River is rising, and overflowing in your life. It will not depend on the world around you. The psalmist David writes in Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over”. Agree with God and His goodness, expect the overflow, and this is exactly what you will begin to experience, starting with a trickle or two, and then increasing above anything you could do! May this year be your year of overflow!
