“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (NKJV)
Maybe today you felt defeated, and wondered when you will be the perfect person you want to be, but I have news for you: There are no perfect people on the face of the earth! We can always aim to improve, but we cannot ever really change apart from the transforming power of the Word, through the Holy Spirit. Most of us are well aware of our weaknesses and “failings”, and we try hard to be “better” but self effort and striving is not the answer when He is just calling you to “be”.
Jesus said to His disciples (John 14:16-18) “I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever – the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
Friend, be confident in the work of the Holy Spirit. Know that He is alive and well and living within you. You are His holy temple! You are not abandoned or orphaned in the world. Jesus gave you His own Spirit to live in you, and to manifest the Christ nature, the Christ identity in you. He is the Spirit of Truth, who cannot be seen or heard by many, but He knows you, and is known by You, and His goal is the manifestation of Christ in you, hallelujah! It is our sure reality, (and what we are walking towards), that God has begun a real work in us, as we partner with the Holy Spirit. Every battle, every challenge, is already won in the spiritual realm. How do I know this? Because Jesus said “It is finished” as He took all our “stuff” upon Himself and gave up His life upon the cross. All of it died when He died! This is our Truth, that you and I are a new creature in Christ, born from above, filled with the light of Heaven to live a supernatural life. He has begun a powerful new life in us and it is His zoe life which is manifesting more each day, making all things possible as our eyes are opened and we begin to see.
Stop and look at yourself; look at your life. Who are you? The Spirit of Jesus is living in you! You are a beautiful work in progress, and the Holy Spirit is creating something awesome from deep within the heart of you. He is reminding you today that there is no reason to despair, no reason to be discouraged about yourself; God who began this awesome work within you will keep on manifesting Himself into you with each passing moment. Look back over the past few weeks, or months, and you will see how much you have grown and progressed. You are walking up the mountain, deeper into your Christ identity, deeper into the manifestation of your oneness with Him. You are changing every day.
We read Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new” This is our spiritual state the moment we give ourselves to Jesus, but, Paul also said (Philippians 2:12) that we should work out our “own salvation with fear and trembling”. He said “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do”, meaning that it all happens because of the beautiful moving of the Lord in and through our lives, the very desire to be transformed as well as the daily decision to walk it through. It is a a choice we constantly make, a “Jesus journey”, and a wonderful one when we do it in partnership with the precious Spirit of Jesus. It is His pleasure and delight, to see His Blood bought ones walking in their new creation identity and manifesting Him!
“Let’s stay in tune, precious one; keep locking gazes with Me. Together we will dance through the mist and the haze, until My glory shines from your face. You are in Me and I in you, and I see a perfect picture, a finished work; I see My reflection when I look at you!”
