Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!
NKJV
This scripture was written hundreds of years before the human birth of Jesus for the people of Israel, but you can receive it today as the voice of the Lord into your own specific situation. There are strongholds being broken today, and walls coming down. There are people who feel like they are treading water in the deep ocean and trying hard to keep their head above it to breathe. Today the tide is turning. Read this word and breathe it in. There is a new unction coming upon you, the faith and power to speak to the mountain and see it move, hallelujah! Prophecy to the mountain that stands in your way. Command it to be removed! Jesus is the mightiest mountain, our strong tower, and the Rock on which we stand. In the power of His mighty name we stand on His words (Matthew 17:20) and we say to the mountain “Be removed! Stop now. Cease and desist. I paralyze you and halt you in your tracks. I command you to be removed and cast into the depths of the sea!”
Dear friend, there is no challenge too big for the power of God. There is no “mountain” that will not be moved when we release our faith against it, in the name of Jesus. It all happens because of the grace of God and His great desire to see His sons and daughters living in the fullness of the freedom Jesus died to give us. It is time to bring down the lies of the enemy, to look your problems in the face and say “what are you?” First set your eyes on Jesus, see the power and “hugeness”, the magnificence of our Creator King. In the light of His glory, every problem “mountain” is just a mound of lies. He came and destroyed the works of the enemy (1 John 3:8). He stripped satan of his power (Colossians 2:15). Everything that seems like a huge, insurmountable mountain standing in your way is already set up to be flattened. It has already been done in the invisible realm, by the eternal blood sacrifice of Jesus, the Lamb who was slain before the creation of the World (Revelations 13:8). When we come against it in the assurance of His finished work and in the power of the Holy Spirit within us, it has no choice but to bow its knee and bend. Here’s how we do this: Assess the current situation realistically and acknowledge that it is a challenging issue, but know that in the eyes of the Lord, this is something He can flick away with a finger. Declare that this “mountain” is nothing before the face of Almighty God! “What are you O Mountain”? Then tap into the heart of the Lord. Invite the Holy Spirit to come and show you how He sees it. He sees the victory and how things are meant to be. Picture it, and call it forth in the power of the name of Jesus. There is a realm of breakthrough coming to you, which Father God is bringing forth as you tap into His heart and get a glimpse of how He wants this situation to be. He allows us to partner with Him as we call forth the breakthrough movement of the mountain!
Jesus said: ” For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:23). Jesus shows us that doubt in our hearts can hinder the removal of the mountains from our lives. It is impossible to muster up faith ourselves, or to work up the strength to move those mountains that stand in our way. But Jesus is the “Capstone”. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. It is He who brings forth the turnaround by His grace and mercy, and because of His overflowing love. He is making everything new. He is filling His people with His heavenly faith, and lifting our heads to see victory again.
Set your eyes on Jesus today and get filled up with the oil of joy. Let your faith rise up as you look at His love, and the amazing grace that saved you. He has empowered you to bind what is bound in heaven, and to lose the good things of heaven on the earth. Speak to the mountains of infirmity, debt, discord, strife, rejection or failure and command them to be removed. These things have stood in the way of your heavenly destiny for long enough but no more. They are nothing before the presence of God, and shall be so flattened that they will not be recognizable at all. What was once a “mountain” will now be a plain! Get ready for a complete turnaround, as Jesus causes your problems to be flattened out of sight never to be raised up again. The enemy you see today, you will see no more, in Jesus’ mighty name, amen. Hallelujah to His glorious name! (Exodus 14:13).
