Yes You Can! (Philippians 4:13)

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil 4:13 (NKJV)

Yes I do believe I can! There is no mountain too high, nothing I cannot achieve, when I step out to do it “through Christ” and “in” Christ. There is nothing impossible with God!

Have you been nurturing a big dream in your heart? Then it is likely to be from God! Our own dreams are achievable and attainable, but the big ones, which seem impossible and improbable are most likely from our Father. He gives us a huge vision so that we can learn from Him and be led by the Holy Spirit into the fulfilment and fruitfulness of it! Most of the time, the first thing you see or feel is the big picture, and although your heart resonates with it, most people probably can’t begin to even imagine how that vision could ever come to be, because there seems to be such a distance between where you currently are and the finished picture. However, when it all becomes a reality, it is almost unbelievable; you know it wasn’t you who did it all, and that God brought it all to pass with you and through you!

Most of us jump into action as soon as we begin to see the picture of what we want to achieve, and we start working towards making it happen. Maybe you started some new venture, or maybe you have been working towards some personal goals, and things were going [S1] really well until it feels like you hit a road block. How do you overcome that? Jesus said to His disciples in Matthew 16:25: “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” What does this really mean? How is it applicable to us in this situation? Friend, here’s the key. The more we press and work, and sweat and strive, the more elusive the end becomes, and the harder it seems to reach that place we are heading towards. But when you let go, there is the opportunity for amazing breakthrough! When you lay it down at the feet of Jesus and you say “this is Your vision for me; this is what You showed me to do; I lay it all before you; I give it over to you, that we may fulfil Your plan and do it Your way.”  It sounds like a crazy thing to do; but when I let go, and invite Jesus to take over, there is an open door for God to move. There is a release of heaven’s power! Things begin to happen and to open up because I am not striving in my own way and blocking the glorious thing God had begun to do! The moment I “lose” all the life I invested in this vision, and stop gripping it all so tightly to channel it my way, heaven is able to manifest; when I stop trying to control the outcome and I invite the Holy Spirit to have His way, He manifests in surprising and wonderful ways, and I begin to see something created and taking shape before my very eyes!

It could be that you have been thinking about your vision and asking yourself why the picture you had is not as clear as it used to be. Could it be that you began to try to make it happen your way, instead of the “Jesus” way? Take heart, there’s hope! There’s resurrection power available! This may not feel like the easiest thing to do, but here’s what I would do: Picture yourself at the feet of Jesus, literally handing over your dream to Him, saying “I give it all to You completely. Show me the next steps; show me how it’s meant to be.” Let Him take it over; let Him show you what to do. Until then, allow yourself to “die” to it, and to let it go. You will receive the vision refreshed and renewed, and know exactly what you are meant to do!

Yes, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, and it happens when His vision becomes your vision; when your purpose is about His purpose; when you let go of doing it your own (finite) way and do it His way. There is no limit to what you can achieve in the power and the wisdom of God, and with the partnership of heaven. The Holy Spirit has been designated your personal “Helper” and Coach, and if you work with Him, and trust Him to take you higher, everything will become clear. Yes you can!
